Considering the closures due to wet weather over the past week, the course was in incredibly good condition. As expected, this was a very tightly contested match, but played in great spirit. Conditions were testing but Yorkshire girls held their nerve and came through with a 3-1 win. Impossible to highlight in particular p[air as everyone, both boys and girls, played some exceptional golf. the girls have now pulled level after the 4-0 defeat last year. We look forward to next years meeting!

This match was played with 3 pairs Foursomes and 4 singles matchplay to give the feel of a County game and to give experience of different formats played at County level. A very close match played in murky, damp conditions at the start. some excellent golf played by all players on both sides and great camaraderie within the matches. A match that could have gone either way but unfortunately on this occasion, not our way. Final score was 21/2 to 41/2

What a day! Some stunning golf played by all players from both teams, on one of the hardest links courses around – a new experience for some of our players. Matches were up and down all the way round the course, and it was impossible to predict the result until the very end. On this occasion it didn’t go Yorkshire’s way, but so close. Special mention to Poppi Maxwell and Sophia Rudd who both fought all the way to the 18th and held on for a half and a win respectively.
A day that saw high heat, thunder, torrential rain, and the ever-present threat of lightening, the day was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone, including spectators. A memorable experience playing on such a renowned course.
